Who am I?

MY PASSIONS

Hi, I'm Annie, an intern counsellor based in Abbotsford, BC. I'm passionate about helping adults of all ages who feel anxious, overwhelmed, or unsure where to turn. My hope is to offer a compassionate counselling space where you feel safe, heard, and supported as you work through life's challenges.

I’m also deeply passionate about building relationships and getting to know people’s experiences and perspectives. Whether in my personal life or in my work, I value the richness that comes from listening to others’ stories and learning what matters most to them. These passions keep me grounded and continually remind me of the importance of connection, joy, and presence.

Outside of counselling, I cherish spending time with my family, especially my niece and nephews, who bring so much joy and laughter to my life. I love winding down with a binge-worthy show or movie, and as a foodie, I enjoy exploring new restaurants and sharing great eats with others.

MY APPROACH

 Counselling

I’m a Registered Social Worker with over 13 years of experience supporting individuals and families. I am currently completing my Master’s in Social Work at the University of the Fraser Valley and remain deeply committed to walking alongside people through life’s challenges. I work with individuals and families navigating mental health concerns, trauma, life transitions, and identity exploration.

My approach is warm, compassionate, and client-centered. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can feel heard, supported, and empowered to create meaningful change in your life. My own lived experience allows me to connect with clients on a deeper level and fuels my passion for building strong, trusting relationships.

I draw on evidence-based approaches and work from a trauma-informed, strengths-based lens, always adapting to your unique needs and goals. I am especially passionate about supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, or life transitions. My practice is grounded in anti-oppressive and culturally responsive values, and I am committed to honoring your story with care, dignity, and respect.
