 Counselling

MY APPROACH

I believe counselling is an opportunity to share space to navigate life’s challenges and amplify your resiliency. Seeking support is an act of courage where I hope to meet your experience with empathy, validity, and collaboration. I firmly believe that we find opportunities for healing, however that takes shape, through a relational approach and connection.

As a queer man, I am passionate about creating inclusive communities whereby we address and recognize systems of harm and honour your human experience. Whether you’re seeking to find greater understanding of yourself, navigate life’s stressors, or identify unhelpful patterns I’m here to empower you towards values-alignment, facilitate change, and live into your fullest potential.

Prior to becoming a social worker and therapist, I worked in child and family services. I am equally passionate about supporting children’s mental health, social-emotional learning, and parenting supports. I utilize play-based approaches to understand and connect with children while supporting families navigate the growingly complex aspects of parenting in the modern-day world.

I'M PASSIONATE ABOUT...

I believe in the importance and distinct power of interdependence over independence. We are social beings, and as an extrovert-leaning human I am fuelled by a strong sense of community and connection. I live apart from my immediate family who reside across the east coast so my friends bring immense joy and meaning to my life. You’ll find us out exploring trails, seeking out nordic spa experiences, or enjoying the mundane moments of life catching up with one another on the couch. I’ve recently discovered a passion for group fitness experiences and have leaned into honing my skills kickboxing. It's an intense physical outlet, but also a mental challenge that encourages the mind-body connection.
