I find myself very excited about the future as it is starting to feel like we are getting back to a sense of normalcy. Though what this new normal is going to look like is still unknown, so as much as I am excited, I am cautious. With the reopening, I am reflecting, and asking myself what this means for me? And I encourage you to do the same – reopening & reflecting: what does it mean for you?
This pandemic has brought big societal and systematic issues to light that need to still be addressed and discussed so changes can occur. The pandemic has also made many of us reflect on what values, activities, and roles are important for us in our lives to be in a mentally healthy space.
I am wondering with this new opportunity of the world reopening if we can reset how we show up. I am a firm believer that how we show up within situations, rooms, meetings, and life can make a huge difference. Through this pandemic, we have discovered new things about ourselves. So grab your journal and let’s reflect on these three things:
- What learning and growing did you go through within the pandemic that you would want to bring into the reopening process?
- What did you learn about your mental health that needs to be prioritized moving into restrictions lifting?
- What societal or systematic issue arose during the pandemic that you want to support, get more education on, or help create change as this reset opportunity is present?
