When I hear the word growth, I immediately think of nurture. My experience has been different in the past, but as I have gotten older (and hopefully wiser!) I have learned that growth can take many forms, and the most important part is recognizing when it is taking place and nurturing it as it happens. Today, I want to share with you how I nurture growth and how you can pursue growth in your life.
In my experience, growth can occur when I step outside my comfort zone to accomplish a goal and learn from the experience, but it can also be as ‘seemingly’ small as saying “no” to something that wasn’t going to serve me well.
It is also important to identify what your own idea of growth is and not compare yourself to others. It is easy to get caught up in the idea of trying to keep up. However, as long as you stay true to yourself, listen to your gut feeling, and trust your own process, I am confident that you can grow.
How to pursue growth in your life:
Make a list of ways that you want to grow, career-wise, personally, in relationships, your self-care, whatever it may be – write it down. By doing so, you will hold yourself accountable to stay on top of your own growth journey, no matter how big or small, and keep pushing without listening to the noise around you.
And don’t forget to nurture your growth!
