I am really big on wanting to know “why” – the “why” behind people’s behaviours and decision-making, why things cause me to have a certain reaction, and why things in the world work the way they do. It can be annoying, especially when there are situations that I will never understand or be able to figure out the answers for. I’ll be honest, it has been a challenge learning to accept not knowing all of the things, but recently, I have learned to embrace the unknown while still remaining curious, and I want to share some tips on how! So here’s to curiosity, and how to embrace it!
Enjoy the process of curiosity
If you don’t feel satisfied with an answer, keep digging until it makes more sense. Even if it isn’t the answer you want, you should feel settled enough to accept it. It is OK not to know it all!
Fill your curiosity cup
Keep chasing the “why” for things you want to know more about or experience. There is a reason you are curious.
Listen with intention
Be in the moment and don’t be afraid to ask questions.
Prioritize staying curious
It can be easy to get comfortable not knowing – make sure you are making time to get curious about things, and time to explore those curiosities.
